We were lucky to have one more fine weather day before the cold air hits overnight. The leaves were dropping heavily this morning, laying a beautiful path of color beneath our feet as we hiked.

We welcomed Richard on his 3rd AOC event . . . our only newbie today.

We hiked at a moderate pace, getting in just over 4 miles in 2 hours. The pace allowed for a lot of friendly conversation throughout the hike.

Of course, Rio was his well-behaved self, supressing any barks as we passed several dogs. He was rewarded with several (but not too many) treats throughout the hike. ~ Joyce
