What a great morning for a hike! The air was pleasantly dry, and we caught nice breeze from time to time which made climbing that big hill a lot nicer.

We had beautiful views of the river, and we managed to negotiate the leaf-filled trails without an falls.

We had a great group today who kept together beautifully. Great conversations could be heard throughout our two hours. And we got in around 5 miles despite that big hill! Believe it or not, everyone arrived at the parking lot before 9:50 am, so we were able to get an early start! That's a first, with 15 people on the hike.

It was nice to have Joseph with us today. He's a trip leader who was new to most of our group, since he does very few AOC hikes and the ones he does are D5's. The Thanksgiving break allowed him to join our group today! ~ Joyce
