Happy Thanksgiving to All!

Our AOC group had a great beginning to the day with a 5 mile, brisk hike at Island Ford. The day was bright and cool, so that some of us kept on jackets while others warmed up enough to shed outer-wear.

We had an abundance of trip leaders on the hike! Ann, Mike C., Sue M., Susan F., Karen, Russ, and Jan joined me, making us outnumber the non-volunteers! That was a first for me. Ranking, however, didn't matter. We were all just good hiking buddies.

Elizabeth was first up the warm-up hill today, with a close second and third by Vicki and Ann. Good job, ladies!

The leaves on the trails made hiking a bit challenging, but all the leaves (except those on the Beech trees) have come down, so conditions should improve soon.

We were all so grateful for the holiday and for the chance to share a nice hike together.
