We had a very lucky break from the rain this morning, and we even caught some sunshine throughout the hike. The trails were in good shape despite the recent rain, so everyone stayed upright! We took the main Sope Creek trail to Cochran Shoals and did a loop around that unit before returning to Sope Creek to finish our hike. Nothing fancy today - - just a steady trek at a moderate pace.

It was nice to have a brand new AOC member today! Van is newly retired, so hopefully he'll become a regular on our local hikes.

A super-friendly group today, so conversation flowed throughout our hike. ~ Joyce
