Eleven Atlanta Outdoor Club members enjoyed a pleasant 5.6-mile New Year's Day hike along Sandy Spring's newest trail called "Springway." This trail has an impressive new boardwalk around Orkin lake. We also hiked around Morgan Falls Overlook Park - which includes both paved trails and trails through wooded areas. This hike also included scenic views of Bull Sluice Lake and the Chattahoochee River. We were blessed with sunny skies and great people on this event! After the hike, six of us met for breakfast at the Sandy Springs Diner -- a great place for some comfort food!
