The thick morning fog eventually gave way to clearing and then bright sunshine by the time our hike ended. We had the park practically to ourselves, so we enjoyed the solitude and the peacefulness of the woods. We even saw a group of deer in the woods with a magnificent buck cavorting with them. Mike was lucky to get the only clear photo of the deer.

We met Canela this morning, Silvia's grand-pup. She's a sweet thing who sat obediently for a treat.

We welcomed Jo to the AOC this morning on just her 2nd AOC event, and Van was back for his 5th event. So glad to have newbies on the hike, especially when they're as friendly as Jo and Van.
