Eight very hardy hikers braved 17 to 23 degree weather with occasional sustained 15 mph winds from Little Skeenah Creek to Toccoa suspension bridge and Bryson Gap on the BMT & DRT. While we were very cold at the start, and a few times when the wind was particularly strong, most of the time the exertion of our 10.7 miles and 2,900 feet of climbing kept us warm(ish). I was surprised that we were comfortable enough to stop to eat lunch in a nice sheltered spot that wasn't too cold. Our advice to you is that when it gets cold, GO OUTSIDE! 😁
