Despite cloudy skies (but little predicted rain), eight hikers* climbed the Amicalola stairs in about 30ish minutes, then hiked up the Hike Inn trail to the inn in 1 hr 45 minutes (pace 2.86 miles/hr). We did get a little rain on the way up. Laura kept the rain off the old fashioned way - with an umbrella! We had a leisurely break of about 25 minutes then hiked back down the HI trail and the stairs. The group stayed together - everyone did a great job - going up the stairs is hard!
