We met by the restrooms to do introductions. It was cloudy and it did not rain. We headed down the river for about 2.8 miles, turned around and returned to the parking lot. We saw a lot of ducks and geese and two herons, otherwise it was not that good of day for nature pictures. There were a lot of people on the trail. Seven of us went to Samad’s for lunch afterwards. As we finished lunch and walked back to our cars the rain started.

I would like to thank Jim and Rex for joining us on their second hike and thanks to the rest of the members for making our new members feel welcome.
