The temperature was in the 20's with a sizeable breeze, but after the first long hill from the Vickery Creek parking lot, we warmed up just fine. Our route was unique, taking us through the park, by the dam, past the Roswell Historic Cemetery, through the Oxbo Parking lot, along Hog Wallow Creek, through Groveway Park, and back through Vickery Creek. The group stayed together beautifully, and Rio was his wonderful self, waiting patiently for his occasional treats.

We welcomed Scott into the AOC today, and he even joined our small group at lunch, giving us a chance to learn a little about him and enjoy his company; and Ii was great to see Anna again, who was on just her 4th event!

I had sent a warning about the freezing weather, advising folks to drop if they didn't like the cold . . . but with a couple of drops and new additions, we ended up with a full group of 15!

A group of 6 enjoyed lunch together at Samad's after the hike. Maybe we'll make this a habit after our Thursday morning hikes. ~ Joyce
