Write Up:9 of us braved a cold morning for a beautiful hike at Gold Branch CRNRA. The sun and the first hill helped with the cold and then we were treated with some great views of the river as we completed all of the loops on the trail. Didn't see the coyote that I saw last week but did see a "raft" or two of ducks.
We hiked ~7.7 miles with elevation gain of around 1100 ft. at an average pace of ~2.7 MPH.
We welcomed Jim and Gerson as fairly new members to the AOC. It was my first hike with those fellas and with Pam. And all of us survived my first hike as a solo leader!
Thanks to all of you that joined me on this hike.
