We ended up with 11 hardy (and maybe not so smart) hikers on our hike today at Mulberry Creek/Hyde Farm. We hiked 5.6 miles with a little over 400 feet of elevation in at time of 2:16. A hike well done.
It was COLD when we started (22 degrees with a bit of wind), so we started out with cold fingers for about the 1st mile. Everyone was warming up by the time we got to the top of the 1st hill, and layers started coming off at about the 2 mile mark. It ended up being a beautiful day and we all were very comfortable. We set a consistent pass and everyone was able to keep up. The ice was gone from all the stepping rocks for our 14 creek cossing and nobody went swimming. That's good, because it would not have been fun today.
In the beginning, it was pretty quiet, but as we warmed up there was plenty of talking and laughing, so I think everyone had a good time.
