Today was perfect for hiking! Very cold but dry air, dry trails, about a 21.5 minute mile pace, and a very fit group. All vets today and absolutely no stragglers. The route was unique, but we got back to the parking lot right on time. I'd call that a successful event.

Nice to have Sunnie and Mary R. join us today. We don't see them too often. Everyone else was a definite regular on our Thursday hikes.

We're getting kind of used to Vickery Creek since being unable to hike at Island Ford until the trail renovation is completed in the spring. Vickery Creek has a lot of opportunity for variety, so each week is a different experience. ~ Joyce
