Fri, Feb 6 2026 - Friday Afternoon Hike from Don White Park (View Original Event Details)

Bette picked a perfect day for her 500th event. It was cool, sunny, and breezy. This was our first time starting a hike at Don White Park, and it proved to be a great location. There's a large, free parking lot, bathrooms, a large pavilion, and even some sandy volleyball arenas! Everyone was able to find the parking lot in plenty of time to take pre-hike photos and start our hike by 2 pm!.
We passed the Ace Sand Park where traffic from Riverside is now asked to park. Then we continued on to the Stations of the Cross behind St. Andrew Church. This added a little needed distance so that we finished our hike at 4 miles, just as planned.
Several folks (including Bette herself), brought some items to share after our hike, so that we had reason to stay and socialize in the pavilion when we got back to the parking lot.
Congratulations, Bette! You worked hard to get to this big number!
Lee made a great Relive video of our hike today. Check it out at. https://www.relive.com/view/vQvxkwm2k9q
Lee also added some photos to this album . . . and Rocky took the nice group photos. ~ Joyce
