Write Up:New Hampshire gave us exactly what we asked for: a colorful adventure!
And the best part is that we got to be on the AT every day.
- Friday; Crawford Path to Mount Pierce via Mizpah Spring Hut 7.34mi, 2,664ft. Wide-open views of the Presidentials and the fall colors in Crawford Notch
- Saturday; Lonesome Lake 4.77mi, 1,125ft. Lonesome Lake Hut is the first AMC hut along the Appalachian Trail corridor in New Hampshire.
- Sunday: Mount Moosilauke and South Peak Loop 8.45mi, 2,641ft. Dartmouth college owns roughly a quarter of the mountain, about 40 miles of its trails and the stretch of the Appalachian Trail from the summit toward Hanover.
- Monday: we split into 2 groups:
a- Deema lead a hike to Mount Crawford via Davis Path Trail 4.54mi, 2,133ft. Gary says: The Davis Path is one of the oldest trails in the White Mountains, built in 1845.
b- Linda lead a tour to beautiful 3 locations: Diana's Baths, Cathedral ledge, Saco River.
