Everyone managed to show up and run today!
It started out with a drizzle and the rain came down a bit harder as the morning passed.
And I think everything is perspective so I will say this:
Running along a river with those around one feels like stepping into a secret world. The air is softer and the edges of the morning blur.
The sound of the Chattahoochee river was more resonant.
The rain quitesd thoughts and made the trail more interesting.
There is something wonderful about the shared decision to show up in the rain.
No one needed perfect weather. No one waited for sunshine. We all just showed up, let our bodies get wet, our hair flatten, our shirts cling and our legs move. We are not fragile- Wet but not fragile.
This is my perspective on this morning's run!
