Wind a wind chill was in the mid-20s, my intrepid AOC hikes did introductions in the Powers Island parking lot. We headed down the Powers Island Trail until it ended, returned by the loop by the river, stopped briefly at the raft launch, and headed across the river. We took the trail across the swamp zigzagged up and down the hills until we returned to the gravel road and stopped briefly at the Columns Drive parking lot. We returned to the Interstate North parking lot and crossed the river again. As we were returning by the service road heading back to the Interstate North parking lot, I veered to the left to follow the trail by the river. Dawn, Gwen, and Laura executed a perfect synchronous left turn. I wish I would have been fast enough to video it.
