Since our intended hike at Laurel Ridge could not be done due to a trail closure, we moved over to Bowmans Island for a 6.4 mile hike with just under 500 feet of elevation in 2 1/2 hours. We had a lot of people drop off this hike, I believe due to a very cold weather forecast, but we ended up with an absolutely perfect day for a hike. It was cool, but sunny and the wind could not be felt in the woods. We still had 7 hikers willing to hike and I'm pretty sure they all had a good time. We did encounter some muddy spots, but other than that, the trails were in great shape. 

We celebrated Pam Y on her 200th AOC hike today. Congratulations Pam!
