Our Sunday morning East Palisades Explorer hike was an awesome way to start the day. We began at the Indian Trail entrance and moved at a moderate to fast pace, completing the 4.5‑mile route in just 1.5 hours. Our group of nine fast hikers—Mandy B., Tory H., Kim P., Mahsheed, Pippa W., Claudia R., Mandy K., Maurici, and trip leader Erica B.—covered the rooted and rocky terrain quickly.  Along the way, we explored the Bamboo Forest, the cave, beautiful overlooks, the bluffs, and multiple viewpoints along the Chattahoochee River. The cool morning, lively pace, and an awesome group of hikers made the trail especially enjoyable. A special congratulations goes to Mandy K. and Kim P. for completing their first AOC hike.
