Hike Highlight:  

Today, we enjoyed the second event in a six-part series in 2026, the Twin Ascent Series, hosted by Clay and Katherine, hiking up and down and around Stone Mountain.

We couldn’t have asked for better weather, with a starting temperature around 60°F, sunny skies, and no chance of rain. Our group of 11 covered around 9 miles with approximately 1600 feet of elevation gain.

Starting right on time at 8:00 a.m., we headed up the mountain for our foot-in-pic at the geodetic marker and then back down for the trek on the Cherokee Trail.  Then, again, it was back up and down the mountain for our second ascent.

Everyone said they enjoyed the hike.
