We had a perfect day for a hike at Laurel Ridge this morning with clear, sunny skies and very comfortable temperatures throughout. Our 10 hikers were all able to maintain a consistent pace covering about 6 miles with just under 600 feet of elevation in 2:16. We had great views of both the river and the lake, which has a real low water level right now. We saw a bunch of water birds including, of course, Canada Geese. We saw a passle of what looked like comorants and also, maybe, some seagulls. Maybe not. I think a good time was had by all.
