We had 15 social hikers at Mulberry Creek/Hyde Farm this morning. The weather was sunny and warm (trending toward hot near the end). Before the hike we were looking for a shady spot to talk in. Last month we were looking for a sun puddle to stand in because it was so cold. My how a little time changes things. The trails were in great condition with only a few new downed trees, a common sight on this trail. Since we have had no rain in a while, the water level was very low in the creek. Near the end of the hike, we saw a rhododendron (had to look that one up) blooming. Our first of the year.

We happily welcomed Morgan to her 4th AOC hike. I hope she had a good time and will join us for many more in the future.
