We had an excellent group of hikers today on Blooming Blood Mountain - and indeed the mountain was blooming. We saw flame azaleas (in three colors: yellow, orange and red), mountain laurel (in two colors: pink/white and all white) and rhododendrons. There were many tiny, but lovely, wildflowers along the trail as well. No newbies on the hike, but Jodi completed her first D4 with the greatest of ease. All in all, a wonderful group, hike, and day!
