It was a beautiful day with great temperatures for a hike. We met at Groveway Park, went down road by the fields, zigged then zagged and zigged again along the trails of Vickery Creek. After the last zig we headed back up the road we came down going around the fields back to the parking lot. We also celebrated the members’ 900^th event. Marge does not do rocks, she brought cookies, two with 900 on them. Said member was required to eat one before the hike and one after the hike. Several other members also brought food. We had a party in the parking lot.

Thanks to Kristen for joining us for her fourth hike, Dave for joining us on his eighth hike, and the rest of the group for making them feel welcome.

On a sad note, we wish Wally and his wife the best as they move to the Santa Barbara area. I think I got that correct. Today was his last AOC event. Walley you will always be welcome. You will be missed by the AOC.
