We had 8 hikers this morning at Gold Branch CRNRA. The weather was nice - cool at the start and then it warmed up but not too much. Gold Branch has "greened up" a lot since I was there last and it looked beautiful.  We saw a few turtles, ducks and geese but not as much as I expected, perhaps because the water level is so low.  Let it rain this weekend!

It was my first time hiking with Mike and 2nd time hiking with Julie.  We hiked 7.6 miles and 1100+ feet of elevation gain.
