Thank you for joining us on the first of our Cinco de Mayo hikes. All of these hikes were at least partly along the Chattahoochee so I am doing the same writeup for all. Except on this hike we saw something very exciting - a blue heron rookery across the river with lots of nests and baby blue herons. See photos. We had beautiful weather, animals, beautiful views, and several newcomers. Special welcome to Nancy and Aaron who attended their first hikes. I posted a combined photo album of the day. Also special thanks to Joyce Taafe who started this tradition but was not able to join us this year.
