Write Up:
This was a beginner hike of 5.5 miles in the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. It was a crisp Mayday, just right for great spring weather. We enjoyed the hike and the scenery along the park trail; we also got to know our fellow hikers. We stopped for a brief rest and snack of trail food after we passed Kolb’s Farm. After the hike we spent some time to discuss hiking boots and clothing. Everyone seemed to enjoy the morning.
