Write Up:
It was a perfect day to hike to Mount LeConte. Sunny and perfect temps. Highly recommend this hike as an alternative to Alum Cave. We parked at Trillium Gap. Arrived at 7:10 a.m. and got the last 2 parking spaces. Gradual incline for the whole hike. We saw the llamas!!! We went to Myrtle Point which everyone loved! Cliff Tops was very crowded so we found a better spot further down the trail and had it to ourselves. We found out they are going to be doing a renovation of the lodge and buildings in the future. Donna’s first time at Mount LeConte. Alice said it was her favorite trail to Mount LeConte and she has done them all!
