The first 4 miles to Cowrock and back were the most challenging part of the hike, with nearly 1500 feet of elevation gain. After that, we had a few rolling hills to Sheep Rock Top.

We were fortunate to have a beautiful breeze throughout the first 8 miles of the hike. Then, we had lunch, and it got a bit stuffy, but Amy kept us laughing through the last few miles.
