A bear escape, as forest creatures, including a young black bear, thronged our route on the Len Foote trail and helped us celebrate Andrea's 400th event.  Even though we had no cake, the bear let us pass with a few twitches of it's ears and an inquisitive but nuanced, almost imperceptible smile.
