We met briefly at the Trading Post to get park passes, a restroom stop, and then caravanned to the Iron Hill Trail Parking Lot. The trading post was the busiest it has ever been during the time I have been leading hikes from there. This caused us to start about 15 minutes late. Upon arriving at the parking lot, we found it almost full, including the overflow lot. There we did introductions at the trail head. Starting at the parking lot hiking in a clockwise direction stopping at the iron mine for a group picture. We hiked the loop trail. Finishing early and with less than posted mileage, we turned around backtracked and returned to the parking lot close to the posted mileage. From there we returned to the parking lot.
