10 hikers survived the heat and humidity of today's hike at Gold Branch.  We took many hydration breaks to help us keep going. 

We saw many ducks and geese, a heron and a pile of turtles but no deer or copperheads. And Amanda had an encounter with a stinging creature.

We hiked ~7 miles and ~1000 ft. elevation gain although my AllTrails didn't quite show that (it's been flaky lately).

We welcomed new member, Margit, on her 3rd hike.  Thanks to all the hikers for joining me today.
