We had a full house of 15 hikers this morning at Laurel Ridge Trail at Lake Lanier. It was sunny and in the 80s, but it was cooler than we have been having lately. We made plenty of water stops so everybody could keep hydraded. We hiked 6.5 miles with about 650 feet of elevation. While hiking a little slower than normal, everybody was able to keep up.
We welcomed 5 1st time AOC hikers on the hike. I think that's a record for me. We had Jane, Mark, Amanda, Georgette, and Randy. We also had Laura on her 3rd AOC hike. They all fit in very well with the group and helped keep up the hiking Jibber-Jabber. I hope they all had a great time and will join us on many more hikes in the future.
Congratulations to Paul on his 100th hike.
8 of our group continued the fun at a local BBQ spot for lunch after the hike.
A special thank you to Joyce for sharing her photos of the hike. You can view them by clicking the Album icon at above right.
