We got in 5 miles today with the now customary heat and humidity. We caught an occasional breeze, which was delightful! Our route covered most of the new trails plus the river trail, so again, a different route proved that there's lots of opportunity for variety on the new trails.

We welcomed Tammy into the club today! She's a super-friendly addition to the AOC, and we'll look forward to seeing her again whenever work and family requirements don't keep her away.

Tom joined our Thursday group for the first time today. This was just Tom's 7th event, so he's still a newbie. Like Tammy, he's a great addition to the AOC.

No stragglers on today's hike! That's quite remarkable considering how hard it is to hike in hot, humid weather. I can't wait for the fall nip in the air! ~. Joyce
