Write Up:
We had a great day on the Appalachian Trail, hiking approximately 11.5 miles from Tesnatee Gap to Low Gap Shelter and back. After tackling the steep climb up Wildcat Mountain right out of the gate, we enjoyed the rolling terrain to Low Gap, where we stopped for lunch before heading back. We were fortunate to have relatively cool weather for late August, making for very pleasant hiking conditions. Everyone kept a strong pace, enjoyed the day, and finished with smiles. Thanks to a great group for making this such an enjoyable hike!
