A great hike this morning, just as planned. We walked on asphalt, cement, gravel, and trails during our 4 mile jaunt. We had less than a hundred feet of elevation,, and with our very moderate pace, everyone was able to stay with the group and enjoy a lot of conversation. We finished on time with just a tad over 4 miles of wear on our shoes.

How nice it was to meet several newcomers to the AOC: Mary and Rachel on their very first event, and Rui and Mia on only their second event. We also met a very friendly trail dog, Laura, who is Mia's pet.  Hopefully, we'll see more of these new members on future hikes.

It was great to see David D. after a couple of years away! It's always so nice to know that members from the past are still around.
