What a welcomed break in the weather today. Mild temperatures in the 70's, a nice breeze, and overcast skies. It was pretty humid, but certainly a lot more comfortable than conditions we've been dealing with all summer.
We welcomed Anna and Gina to our group. They're still newbies with fewer than 10 hikes . . . . and, of course, Blaine is new; but since he's connected closely to Cara, we consider him a vet now.
We met Jan and her friend Cathy (Kathy?) on the trail. How nice to know that Jan is feeling well enough to hike. It was great to see her!
It was special to see Viola and her husband, Ed, this morning. She's an amazingly friendly, sweet, encouraging woman who is always willing to stop and talk to our members. It's hard to believe she and Ed are both over 90 years old.
Thanks to Lee for the nice photos he added to the album. ~ Joyce
