Twelve fast‑moving hikers—Susanne, Seth, Lisa H., Ira L., Marina, Aaron L., Myrna K., Stephen F., Elena C., Nina B., Mohan, and Trip Leader Erica B.—enjoyed a beautiful 4.5‑mile hike at Island Ford on Sunday morning. The group explored the new trails, the lollipop loop, and several connecting paths, completing the route in just 1.5 hours.

We enjoyed many amazing views of the Chattahoochee River, peaceful forest scenery, and plenty of wildlife along the way. Highlights included spotting three turtles and one very photogenic frog. The cool morning, steady pace, and great company made it a perfect start to the day.
