We met at the end of the parking lot; the lower temperature and humidity made for a nice hike. We headed down the Noses Creek Trail to the Hardage Mill Trail. Followed the Hardage Mill Trail to Whitlock Road and crossed it. We continued to the Cease Fire Trial to the intersection of the Old John Ward Trail and returned to the Noses Creek Trail. We took the New Salem Church Trail, stopping to look at the foundation of the New Salem Church and continuing to the Camp Brumby Trail where we turned left, we again turned left on the Little Kennesaw Mountain Trail, stopped to look at the prickly pear catus and at the picture taken in August 1864, and returned to the parking lot.
