We did introductions near Confederate Hall and started hiking in a counterclockwise direction. We hiked along the orange trail, connector trail, joining the green trail until it joined another orange connector trail connecting to the white trail or Cherokee Trail. We continued along Venable Lake until the trail returned to the mountain. We hiked across Washington W King Bridge and hiked the Kings Trail on Indian Island also in a counterclockwise direction. Returning to the Cherokee Trail we stopped for a break at Grist Mill and returned to the parking lot.
