The five of us meet up on time for what turned out to be a very nice snowy day. The road going up to Neel's gap had some snow built up already going up, but the county had already put down some salt & small gravel. We made to Vogel with about a 20 degree temp & light snow falling. By the time we reached the crest of the trail it was snowing pretty good with a light wind, not the 20 mph they had forcast. Along with 3 inches on the trail, that was the lightest powder I have ever seen in the East. Everyone was nicely dressed, stayed warm the entire hike & made the drive off the MT. that had another inch of snow, without in problems.
