The day's weather changed from gloomy and overcast to bright and sunny toward the end of our hike, so we were able to enjoy a bright picnic lunch together before we headed home.

The trails were completely free of bikers as they should be after a rainy day. The trails were wet, but we were careful, so no one slipped or fell. That always makes for a successful hike!

Our full group of 12 dropped to 9 the evening before the hike, with Karsten being the only representative of the other gender. He didn't seem to mind.
All of the ladies stayed for a picnic lunch by the water, which was most enjoyable with shared culinary contributions and friendly conversation.
