A really nice day for our hike at Island Ford. The weather was cooperative, but getting warm toward the end. We saw turtles, squirrels, and spiders, which didn't speak much for wildlife; however, the members were super friendly and managed to maintain conversations throughout the hike - - music to a trip leader's ears.

It was great to see Claudia, Dawn, and Bob today, who haven't hiked with us in a while. And Jan managed to complete the hike, despite dealing with chemo fatigue. (We're all so proud of her!)

Bette took a couple of group photos for us, always asking for a crazy pose at the end. Half of us mustered a crazy pose; I guess the rest felt that looked crazy enough already! :-)

Lee took some nice photos which have been added to the album. Those Joro spiders are hard to catch with a camera, but he always manages to get them in focus. ~ Joyce
