We had 12 hikers this morning at Laurel Ridge Trail at Lake Lanier. The weather was almost perfect with sunny skies, temperatures from the low 70s to the low 80s and a nice breeze coming through from time to time. The trails were in very good condition considering the remnents of hurricane I(fill in the rest) coming through just a few days ago. We covered about 6.5 miles with just over 600 feet of elevation in about 2 1/2 hours. Everyone was able to maintain pace and we had no stragglers.

We welcomed 5 Newbies on today's hike. Laura and Tom were on their 8th AOC hike. Amanda was on her 7th, while Rosemary was on her 4th and Randy was on his 3rd. Welcome to all of you and I hope you will join us on many more hikes in the future.

There was plenty of Jibber-Jabber and laughing, so I think everybody had a good time.
