This week's celebration of David V.'s 800th AOC event was great. I found it amazing that all 20 members remained on the hike the entire week! No withdrawals. David has many friends who appreciate his leadership in the AOC. We've missed him since he relocated to Orlando last month.

The weather was great for our hike. Other than a venture to the cemetery in Cochran Shoals, we stayed in the Sope Creek Unit, taking a moderate pace so that no ong lagged behind. We finished on time and set up goodies on one of the picnic tables near the trailhead. Folks stayed for over 45 minutes enjoying the food and the great company.

Having 20 people on a hike really makes a difference. As some of us remember, we were allowed to have 20 members on all of our local hikes pre-Covid 19. I often had a full group and didn't think anything of it. Having 20 today was challenging! The group was so friendly, that getting them to listen was near' impossible! But it was a wonderful group, and I think we all enjoyed both the hike and David's celebration.

Lee ran around tirelessly during the hike taking photos and making videos for a Relive video.of David's special milestone hike. Lee added many of his photos to my album (thank you, Lee!). More importantly, you can watch his Relive video of the hike at:
