A fine day for a hike, though we did have a bit of humidity and heat today. Nothing like it was when the temperatures were in the 90's, though.

We had a last-minute drop, so it was not possible to add anyone from the waitlist. It's really a thoughtful gesture to remove your name from the waitlist if you aren't able to make the hike on the morning of the event. This gives the trip leader time to contact someone to take your place.

We welcomed a delightful new member to our Thursday morning hike - - Eric L. He's a strong hiker and had no difficult keeping up with our pace today.

Congratulations to George who put on a sprint at the top of the warm-up hill to wind up first, with Van, Marina, and Eric close behind.

Lee took a bunch of nice photos which he added to this album. They add a nice perspective from a vantage point other than my own. ~ Joyce
