We had 20 friends of Marina's to give her a festive send-off as she moves to Miami next Tuesday. We'll certainly miss her "shy" spirit on our local hikes, though she promises to return often to join us on the trails.

According to Mike's GPS, we hiked 5.3 miles before meeting at the picnic tables behind the Visitor Center for an elaborate display of food items, including home-made apple pastry, home-made sweet potato pie, sausage/bisquick balls, cheese, crackers, cut fruit, turkey rolls, cookies, candy, mandarins, and other pastries and delights. It was quite a display, and we stayed for quite a while to eat and socialize.
