Write Up:
Eighteen hearty hikers signed up for this event.  We had a great time.  It was a fun and sociable group.  We hiked at around 3 MPH, so the group stayed together as a unit for most of the trip.  That was unusual.  So, we really got to know one another.  Nice.  We hiked past the Civil War Re-Enacters and stayed on the flat trails at the base of the mountain until we headed off on the East Trail toward HYW 120 where we turned back after 90 minutes of walking.  We did 8.5 miles in just under 3 hours.  Afterwards we headed up to the Marietta Square and sat out on the sidewalk for some cold tea and pizza.  The Farmer's Market is now continuing on side streets on Sundays, so some went and shopped for some veggies after our late lunch.  It was a nice time had by all.  Look for this event again soon!  Thanks to all who came and I hope to see you again, Grant
