Write Up:

The morning started very cold, but quickly warmed up to a beautiful sunny day. A group of 7 started the 4 mi. hike enjoying the beautiful fall colors. We took a small trail that goes past the old grave yard (from the 1800's) to continue towards the Sope creek. We went down to the creek, which provides beautiful views, including the old Paper Mill ruins where the Confederate gov. printed money. We bordered part of the creek to then climb back to the trail that led us to the old flour mill by Paper Mill Rd. Stayed there for a few minutes enjoying the view and taking photos, to continue to the lake and back to the parking lot. The hike was completed in a little over 3 hrs.
