My hat's off to the great group of risk takers who made up this hike! The weather forecast was more of a craps shoot than a forecast. However, we decided to prepare ourselves for the worst, and hope for the best. Well, we were rewarded with a wonderful day of hiking on a trail that held up very well to heavy rains the night before. Leader Scott Koz blazed our way up the 4.2 mile trail to the observation platform atop Rabun Gap. The views off the mountain top were endless with views of four states. The group basked on the leeward side of the summit and enjoyed lunch before making the nice return hike. Thank you participants for pulling me up the hill!!! Richard
